Boards

Glide.  It's what my boards are designed to do. I shape them out of top quality foam made in the U.S.A. with heavier glass jobs, and classic tints. All boards feature a single, glassed on wooden fin or fin box. My boards are designed for noseriding and getting in full trim. If it's overhead, ride a shortboard. These logs are designed for everyday New England surf, which is where they excel.

Straws Noserider

By the mid to late 1960's, the style masters of the surf world were obsessed with one thing - getting their toes to the nose; and surfboard manufacturers began shaping boards strictly dedicated to increasing tip time. My noserider pays tribute to its 60's predecessors while adding some modern features that better suit New England breaks. This board is ready for your next loggin' adventure.

Full Trim

The Full Trim is a great board for cruising down the line and has forgiving rails for drop-knee turns.  It features a more pulled in tail than the Straws Noserider and has a flatter bottom which doesn't disturb trim as you turn rail to rail and adds speed.

-Perfect for waves knee high to slightly overhead

-Available with a fin box or glass-on

Glassing: deck 2, 6 oz cloth; bottom 1, 6 oz

Specs: 9' - 10' x 18 1/2" x 23" x 15" x 3-3 1/4"
The Young Elvis is the newest member of our traditional longboard line.  Using the same outline and dimensions of the best-selling Straws Noserider, we were looking to lighten the board up without sacrificing stability and surfing from the nose.  To achieve that, the foam is U.S. Blanks green density, rather than classic density.  'Still extremely solid but not quite as heavy.  The stringer was also thinned a bit to save weight.  Lastly, the glassing utilizes 8 oz volan cloth on the bottom and 2, 6 oz layers on the deck, rather than a full volan wrap.  All of those elements add up to a board that paddles fast, trims with more speed, but still rides the tip like a noserider should.  As the name implies, this classic is a bit more loose in the hips but still is the king.
